After the momentous success of the 2014 World Poker Tournament (WPT®) National Poker Championship, the high-stakes poker tournament will return to Emperors Palace for a third consecutive year. The magnificent entertainment complex is fast becoming synonymous with legendary poker tournaments and features amongst Africa’s most famous poker venues. Amateurs and professionals alike are invited to test their luck at the satellite events from 20 March, and to join the glitz and glamour at the national event from 10 to 19 April in the spectacular Theatre of Marcellus.

The April poker extravaganza promises to be of an international standard and will comprise of 10 events over the 9 days with a R1 200 buy-in for the first event. The main event will take place from 17 to 19 April and the buy-in will be R12 500, whereas the High Roller event is set at a R40 000 buy-in. For R3 000 buy-in, ladies will have every reason to put on their poker faces during the Ladies Only Championship on 18 April.
