In 2013 the trustees of the Peermont Community Benefit Trust (PCBT) approved the roll out of its Grade project which seeks to improve the quality of teaching and learning in Grade R, in order to enable a greater number of learners to perform better throughout their schooling as well as increase the number of learners eligible to select Maths in Grade 10. On Thursday morning, March 17 one of the biggest undertakings of the Trust (and this project) came to fruition with the official handover and opening of two Grade R classrooms, built to the tune of R600 000 by the PCBT, at Fortune Kunene Primary School in Vosloorus.
