The Strategic Poultry Farming Co-operative is an enterprise development project, to which Rio has funded R246,404 towards the establishment of a chicken hatchery under the management of Malachi Solomons, a local entrepreneur.  The community of Jagspruit in Jouberton benefits from this project through work opportunities and the rearing and selling of chickens.
